What begins as a hunt for a paranormal research facility in America’s most haunted state turns into a journey filled with mysterious and heartwarming discoveries for a team of supernatural investigators. Is the inexplicable phenomenon documented in some of Kentucky’s most jaw-dropping sites tied to a unique natural anomaly as old as the earth itself? And has the state’s unique history and rich culture helped intensify this activity?

Brandon investigates the Conrad-Caldwell House, a Victorian-era home that’s said to still be inhabited by some of its original owners. While it now functions as a museum and excellently preserved Louisville landmark, the House previously saw life as a Presybterian Retirement Home and many have reported interactions with its particular group of lingering residents. The team meet with the museum’s employees and a Caldwell descendant, whose love for the property inspired her work as a docent there. Enlisting the help of an aerospace engineer, Brandon implements a full environmental analysis to try and capture the purported claims and to see if members of the departed Caldwell family, or any of its previous residents, still reside within its walls.

Urban legends are par for the course for the paranormal, but there are few as tragic and detailed as the most famous myth associated with the Bourbon Inn. The team meets with author David Domine to learn about the tragedy of Annie Whipple, a supposed “witch” who communicated with spirits to save the life of a child in her care. They mimic Annie’s journey under the guidance of an espiritismo practitioner by engaging in a hoodoo ritual, while empirically monitoring the environment. They attempt to “will” Annie’s ghost into manifesting herself, even though the team’s researcher, Malia, cannot find any evidence of her existence, and come face-to-face with a staggering find.

The team journeys to Bardstown, KY which is hailed as “the oldest Western stagecoach stop in America” and a prominent location for the state’s famed bourbon trail. It’s also home to the Talbott Tavern, which has reportedly hosted everyone from exiled kings to the famous outlaw Jesse James himself, to US Presidential families and derby-goers and liquor lovers from far and wide. But it's also home to a multitude of paranormal claims. Brandon, Mustafa, Kevin, and Malia delve into the Tavern's rich history in an attempt to separate fact from fiction and see if there's a correlation between the neighboring Jailer's Inn and the structure, along with incorporating historical artifacts from the civil war. Brandon, Mustafa, and Kevin also conduct a full-spectrum late-night experiment in contrast to their investigation earlier in the night to see if there’s a disparity in the activity when the hotel is more or less lively.

For nearly 200 years, the Jailer’s Inn housed prisoners who longingly stared out of their cells into Bardstown Kentucky’s ever-growing population, many of whom were involved in the city’s bustling Bourbon trade. The Team visits with the Inn’s manager to learn about notable prisoners, which includes Jesse James, along with a lurid tale of a murdered who died of illness within the jail’s walls. The same man has said to have haunted the Jailer’s Inn, with reports from other inmates as to his presence that date back 100 years. Brandon, Mustafa, Kevin, and Malia highlight the efforts of local Kentucky investigators in the process.During their time at the Jailer’s Inn, the team documents several shadow figures on their IR night-vision cameras, light anomalies on the EMCCD, and they encounter a strange floating “ball” of environmental changes that makes them physically ill whenever they encounter it.

A winding system of caves beneath the surface of Kentucky makes it one of the most unique geological wonders in the world. Caves that are located near Bethlehem Academy, a long abandoned Catholic School that is being kept alive by Vincent, a longtime resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Vincent’s restoration of the building is deeply rooted in his undying love for his late wife and then team enlists the help of the International Paranormal Research Museum (Kyle Kadel and Darian West) to investigate. The duo debuts never-before-seen technology in an effort to test theory of thought-form-manifestation, namely: can a strong belief in something cause it to occur? Their fascinating finds with this long-form experiment are supplanted by a physical experience Brandon has in the Moses room, along with other strange phenomena that are difficult to explain.

See what lurks in the shadows of the 100-year-old Grand Victorian Inn, where the owner swears he’s seen the spirit of his late daughter. Continue testing new theories and review a stunning audio find that links the haunting to a nearby rail line.

Track down the source of mysterious footsteps at the deserted jail, where supernatural activity is a daily occurrence. Pursue elusive spectres with the team and a local paranormal investigator who knows the property’s deepest, darkest secrets.

The team discovers an unassuming bed and breakfast’s activity may have more to do with a recently departed owner than its debunked historical claims.
